18 Pounder Shell Case This is new to the market. It is 1915 dated, as shown. It measures 22 cm / 9 Inches in height. It has 5 drilled holes into the case, as shown. The case is filthy inside and it clearly has never been cleaned. 100 % Sleeper ! PAY PAL Customers Only.
1914 Binos These are 1914 dated and London, maker stamped. Their only fault is some damage to the left eyepiece. The pair have graticules inside, on the lenses. 1915 Tommy Silk This is a 1915 dated silk. It measures 34 by 33 cm / 13.5 by 13 Inches. It is just one sided and depicts 2 soldiers. The detail on the silk is particularly impressive. 1939 Patttern Ammo Pouches These are a good, matching pair. The leather on both is in good, supple condition. The buckles are all present and in good, working order. There is one, period repair to one the pouches, where some additional stitching has been added, as shown. The internal pouches are complete. They are maker and broad arrow stamped. 1942 Pocket Diary This is a 1942 dated, pocket sized diary. It measures just 10.5 by 7 cm / 4 by 3 Inches. This example has a few birthdays and train times written in it. 279 Squadron- RAF Air Sea Rescue Grouping This is a large grouping of AM manuals belonging to a Kenneth T Bold, who was a Warrant Officer in 279 squadron. He served from 1941 to 1946 as a wireless operator/ Air Gunner. The majority of the manuals are named to WO Bold. 4th Hussars Other Ranks Forage Cap This is a pre 1952 example. Both the cap badge and buttons are original to the cap. It is a very large sized example. The London tailor's stamp is clearly visible on the inside. The cap is quite stiff towards the top section. It is a well worn example and has the vet's initials sewn on the inside. 100 % Sleeper. Adler Magazine This is a December 1941 dated, German edition. The front covers are loose and the second page, otherwise, the magazine is in good condition. It has many photo features from different theatres of operations. 100 % Sleeper. PAY PAL Customers Only.
AFS Respirator and Bag This is straight out a house clearance, from the Birmingham area. The bag is 1939 dated and comes complete with it's wartime drawstrings. The green gas cannister tube has rusted and leaked into the inside, over time. The cannister is 1938 dated, The respirator is June 1939 dated. The rubber is in good, supple condition. Air Sea Rescue Magazine Feature This is a February 1943 edition of 'Boys' Own' magazine. The front cover features a colour photo of an Air Sea Rescue pilot at work. It is the small format version, measuring 19 by 13 cm. It has a special, centre page feature on Air Sea Rescue. The rest of the magazine has other photo articles. Air Sea Rescue Booklet This is an unusual, wartime, softback publication. . It tells the story of the roles played by The Fleet Air Arm, Coastal Command and the Air Sea Rescue Service. The booklet measures 26 by 20 cm / 10 by 8 Inches. it is well illustrated on each page with colour illustrations and a commentary on accounts during the operations. Ammo Boots This pair are new to the market and literally straight out of a vet's suitcase. They are a size 7 and 1945 dated. Both boots are WD and broad arrow stamped, as shown. They come complete with nearly all of their original, wartime features. The right boot has lost its steel support on the front sole, as shown. The laces are original to the pair and not replacements. Berkshire Home Guard Medal Grouping This is a medal and Certificates grouping to the Holmes family. There is a boxed trio to Corporal Eric Holmes. His service number is 116250 ASC.. Berkshire Home Guard Medal Grouping- Additonal Photos The Home Guard grouping is to named to Sergeant Fred Holmes and his wife Iris Ann Holmes. Both husband and wife served in the 3rd Berrkshire Battalion, which was Newbury. Fred Holmes HG certificate shows that he served for 2 years from 1942 to 1944. Included is his HG proficiency certificate. He also must have served prior to this in the regular army, as he has the 39-45 Star and War Medal. Boer War Period Photo This is a turn of the century/Boer War period portrait. It shows 2 soldiers, one wearing his decorations. Judging from the background, the location is either Africa/Far East. Canvey Island Coastal Battery Manual This is an unusual, wartime manual to encounter. The manual has a February 1942 dated, Army Message sheet, still left inside. It is a large format size, measuring 24 by 16 cm / 10 by 6 Inches. It is printed on high grade paper and has large, pull out sections. In addition, it has full page sized photos, as shown. The poster is dated June 6th 1944. It gave a stark warning to the population, to refrain from civil unrest, during the Normandy invasion. It measures 30 by 20 cm / 12 by 8 Inches. Devon Home Guard Medal Group This is an unusual grouping. It is named to a Mrs Edith Coates. She served in the Womens' Home Guard Auxiliary in Honiton in Devon. Both the ID card and Defence Medal Certificate are named to her. 100 % Sleeper. PAY PAL Customers Only.

DLI Officers Forage Cap This is a pre 1952 example. It came from an officer in the Royal Engineers, who was attached to the Tyne Engineers. It is a small sized cap, which comes with all it's original features. There is some very light moth tracking and staining to one side, otherwise, it is in very good condition. 100 % Sleeper. Dockyard Defence Force Formation Patch This is a well used example, which clearly has come off a BD. It is not a common Home Guard formation patch to encounter. It is in good condition, as shown. 100% Sleeper. PAY PAL Customers Only.

Dubbin Tin and Contents This is a good, wartime example. The tin comes complete with it's original dubbin inside and untouched. Durham Home Guard This is a good, matching, set for the 20th Battalion. This unit covered the Northumberland District, which covered the Durham Zone, Durham Sub sector and Darlington. Lancaster Pathfinder Pilot's Notebooks This small grouping is new to the market, having surfaced from a house clearance. It comprises of 3 notebooks and 1 photograph. They are all named to Pilot Officer William Patrick Moroney. Moroney was serving with 97 Squadron, which was a Lancaster Pathfinder squadron, operating from RAF Bourn in Cambridgeshire. On March 22nd 1944, during a raid on Frankfurt, Moroney's Lancaster ditched into the North Sea and all of the crew were lost. The last message from the wireless operator, reported that the crew were bailing out. Lancaster Y - York, JB731 OF-F crew were posted as missing. The 2 RAF exercise books are dated from March 1941 and have Moroney's training notes on Morse Code and other numerous subjects. The notebook does have many references to billeting in flats with other members of Air Crew. Please note that the whole grouping is very salty, as it comes direct from a house clearance. The orange notebook covers have all come off. Nevertheless, the notebooks are packed with a whole manner of personal information , relating to Pilot Officer Moroney. Large Pack This is an unusual example, in that it belonged to an officer of a senior rank. It is named to to ETC Smith of the Royal Army Pay Corps. Smith reached the rank of temporary Colonel, in 1944. The pack is 1940 dated and M.E.Co stamped. It had lost it's carrying straps and a replacement pair have been added. Tank / Howitzer Spares Tools Tin This is an unusual Sleeper. It is wartime spare tools tin, which was used on 2PR tanks, 3 Inch Howitzers and MTG. The tin has been repainted Post War, but this should prove to be good restoration project, as the yellow paint finish flakes off easily. The interior is mostly rust free. Tommy Poster This is a large, First World Print, entitled ' Goodbye Old Boy'. It is 1916 dated and has the caption 'An incident that occurred on the road to a battery position in to Southern Flanders'. It measures 55 by 38 cm / 22 by 15 Inches. The print has suffered two, large creases, one vertical and one horizontal. These do affect it's overall quality and it is priced accordingly. How visible both creases are, once the print is framed is open to question. The detail in the picture is exceptional. Despite it's faults, it remain an impressive and evocative print.
